Ok… just a quick note to let the world know how vindicated I feel! Alice is on her “sabbatical” and every day I come home or time I call she is in the middle of using the AppleTV, the Roku. the xBox 360 to watch HD DVD’s, or using her iPod touch at the gym. I’ll continue to be excited about this right up to the day when she’s playing Warcraft.

But it is funny given how much grief I get for playing Warcraft. If I were a kid these days I would be telling my folks, “see… this is like studying!”
See the article here and the opening is copied below.
“The best sign that someone’s qualified to run an Internet startup may not be an MBA degree, but level 70 guild leader status, according to the latest issue of Harvard Business Review.”
PS- I love anything that compares MBA’s and they lose. This has the benefit of having originated in the Harvard Business Review.

Man, went golfing with some friends today and it was a gorgeous day. We got in on a course called The Ranch and I have to tell you… it was a bit of a monster. I’ve never seen such narrow approaches, up and down slopes, and the holes were clearly set to deflect my ball on some electromagnetic level. At least that’s my theory since my puts were not even getting close to dropping.
But, as I said, it was a great day out and awesome to catch up with the guys.

Good lord. 388 in line and 20 min to get in. I have time but this is pretty bad. I want to jump in, play or look things up, and then move on.

I don’t understand why Blizzard hasn’t figured out a better way to do login in the years the service has been live. I’m logging in now (3:56 PM Pacific) and there is a line of 250 people trying to login and the estimated time is ~10 minutes. Seems like something they could improve.
Hmmm… maybe they need a PM lead to prioritize it?

We went over to the Kikuoka golf club and had lunch followed by 9 holes. Wasn’t my worst round but wasn’t my best either. No pars so that sucks. It was an awesome day out and nice to get outside exercise.

So, I’m going to sign up for golf lessons and, my favorite part, I’m going to upgrade the technology! Cause really… I’ve been using 8 year old clubs and we all know how I like to upgrade the tools of the trade.
I figure with a few lessons I can clean up my game and maybe not lose so many balls each round. Wish me luck!

Why do game releases on Sundays? Why make us wait all weekend and get only one day of play in? Release on Friday so we can take the day off and get 3 days in!

Blizzard just introduced a new tool called the armory where you can look up any character and see really everything about that character. Check out my main character here.
