		<description>excellent insight...of course, the coens and wes anderson are two prime examples of detail oriented filmmakers. there is a reason why it takes wes years to complete his next project. same could be said for p.t. anderson. these guys take their time to bake their films from the very top down to the minor details.

re-watch the big lebowski, the effort that went into establishing the "period" of the mid-nineties is astonishing when you focus on it. that film, in the hands of anyone else, would've simply been a throwaway comedy...of course, that film would have never landed in the hands of anyone else...
