Michael Vick
Michael Vick is a disgusting human being. The people who think dog fighting is ok, a cultural thing, and that dogs are property that can be used in any way they want also fall into that camp in my book. This isn’t Rome… we have better entertainment options.
I just saw a news blurb about the beagles that were rescued from his home and were to be used as bait dogs. Bait dogs. I’m sad there is even a term for that.
A good rule of thumb is be kind to puppies.

How is this any different than the pre-packaged slaughter house meat that you love to consume in vast quantities.
Ohh that’s right that is really humane.
Hypocrite

So- I definately see your point and know you’re mocking me more than anything else.
I would offer that (1) I don’t have cow’s fight for sport before turning them into a nice Outback dinner, (2) I hope but understand it is wishful thnking that the animals we eat are treated well. You know what I mean so I won’t spend a ton of time talking about reasonable living standards and the like. In a post Fast Food Nation world I know all about industrial animal farms but try to buy more natural options if I can. First world concerns I know. (3) There is a value to eating an animal (despite what your wife would tell you) and entertainment isn’t an acceptable reason to have dogs fight to the death let alone a bait dog who is actually subdued so they can’t fight back.
At least with boxing the fighters have a choice.

“…despite what your wife would tell you…”
You’re such an instigator!
And ANYWAY, that ‘value’ is…?
It’s much better for the environment as a whole NOT to eat meat. However, since I myself have yet to become a full fledged vegetarian, the small amts of meat I consume are naturally (and more humanely) raised.
