My newest iPod and why the rest are dead to me

Ok, I love my new iPod Touch. There it is… I said it.

It really is pretty, fun to use, and avoids the hassle of being tied to AT&T for 2 years.

Obviously other iPods have more storage but 16GB is good for my day to day use and I can still carry a bunch of movies, music, TV shows, and podcasts with me. For longer trips I’ll still carry my 80GB video and the Philips DVD player with iPod dock. My earlier post about this can be found here.

All in all, the touch has a really nice screen and I am totally comfortable watching shows on it. I’ve surfed the web in my living room and at work and it is easy and pretty fast. Typing is a pain compared to my blackberry but surfing mainly requires typing the occassional URL and I’m pretty happy with being able to import bookmarks from my browser so my favorite and frequent site visits can be simple clicks.

As soon as I can get my slingbox to stream to it I’ll be in heaven. :-)

    Your new love, eh?!

I have actually been considering getting an iPod Nano with speakers to dock it…be nice to have music upstairs in our room. I’d also get a car adapter to use it there, too. Not earth-shattering, I know, but I don’t usually buy many gadgets. :-)
