Start of the Local Development Summit
Tuesday, June 5th, 2007I was invited to attend and present at an eBay internal summit that was being held in the London office. I went to the same type of meeting last year in Berlin and thought that was really informative so I was looking forward to this year’s meeting. It was good to see a number of the same folks as last year plus some new faces. I learned a good bit but that’s all internal work stuff so I won’t cover it here. 
After work we had an hour before the bus left to take us into London where we had a flight on the London Eye and then dinner at Zaika, a very swank place. Highlights of the meal (for me) included chatting with Ryan, two of the guys from the UK development team and Ian Jordan. I won’t risk insulting them by saying that we have similar mindsets but I will say that we got along great and had a few laughs.
Took the bus back, watched a little of the MTV Movie Awards via slingbox, and crashed pretty fast.
