My newest travel toy…
Before my trip to Ohio I picked up an 80GB video iPod. I thought the screen size might bother me or that I would lose interest but the worst part of it was that I didn’t bring enough content to watch. I think it was the best of the possible problems. :-) I had heard the video really drained the battery so I picked up an APC external battery that is supposed to give 50+ hours of additional music and 10 hours of video. It was super simple to charge, they did a nice job of making it clear how full the battery is, and it is smaller than the iPod itself.
Another nice feature is the ability to use the iPod as a hard drive. I have sworn that I’ll never install World of Warcraft (WoW) again and Eric showed me that once installed it is a simple copy from one machine to the next. Since I was heading to Ohio I dumped the file to the iPod and then onto my Dad’s PC when I got there. Took a few minutes each way and I was up and running.
So, I love it. I take it in the car with me when I run errands and if there is a wait I pop open the video and catch up on my shows.
