Here’s what I learned tonight…
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006I shouldn’t drink and read Fortune articles about startups that have recently hit it big. That always makes me feel like I am missing out on another round of possibilities. For those keeping track at home, I’m approaching 8.5 years doing FairMarket-related work. Yeah, I’m doing better than ever, I like the people I work with, my manager is totally supportive, the team is doing amazing things and the projects we work on are pretty rewarding (and high profile) but as Mangelo summed it up on our call last week, “where’s the cotton candy and pony rides?”
PS- Last week was the 5 year anniversary of the layoff round that claimed Jen and Amy, or as I like to call it, “The 5.4 release.” Where did the time go?
